So her concern is the crew, they have a ship working out of Scotland and also a sister company there with a few boats, so why don't they use their contacts and get the crews jobs there ? After all they are having to recruit Filipino and Ghanaian crews as no British crew available.

Congrats, you got your brexit, so. Suck it up buttercup and stop whining!
Us old fishermen can remember steaming and landing direct into Belgium and France but that was to force the Range Rover buyers to reduce their huge margins and pass on a bigger part of their profit to the boats. This doesn’t seem any different. Lazy wealthy buyers sweating. The good ones will prevail and hopefully fishermen may join together in marketing their product together and share more of the spoils. Currently many sons of buyers who are in their 20s drive £90k motors that a fishermen in their later years of their careers could only dream of. Beware crocodile tears
They destroyed the fishery here in Newfoundland as well all ghost towns now..
In a short time we will be eaten by fish that will grow big because it will no longer make sense to fish them, there are no more buyers.

If only someone could see this coming.
4 years to get prepared for brexit
Give the 200m to the fishermen to sort the export issue out themselves
Brexit brexit 👏👏👏👍
Locals are crying out for fresh fish
Read this earlier Vital financial compensation to help the Scottish fishing industry must be brought forward immediately. The call comes amid claims the Scottish government is failing to accept ongoing issues involving Food Standards Scotland who are holding up exports from Scotland to Europe. Jimmy Buchan of the Scottish Seafood Association revealed checks that normally take around an hour have been taking up to five hours. The news has prompted Scottish Conservative Rural Affairs Spokesman Finlay Carson, MSP, into urging everyone to pull together and resolve the problems quickly. He said: “Now is not the time to be dragged into a blame game, that is only going to further delay matters. “Everybody needs to come together – the fishermen, the fish processing industry and politicians to smooth out these initial problems and get them resolved in order not to harm the Scottish brand.” The Scottish Conservative MSP added: “It makes sense to tackle these issues quickly and ensure our world leading fish and shellfish can once again get to overseas markets who are desperate for our products.” Mr Carson is hoping to discuss the matter with senior management at WCSP, one of the biggest scallop companies in Kirkcudbright. He continued: “From what I can gather there appears to have been issues over Scottish companies having to register for VAT in France. I know the local MP Alister Jack is assisting in trying to resolve any problems.” Scottish Conservative leader Douglas Ross had earlier warned the fishing export dispute should not be turned into a constitutional battle over Brexit. He urged both the UK and Scottish governments to focus on fixing the problems and deliver compensation for unavoidable export losses. Mr Ross said: “The problems affecting the Scottish fishing industry need to be cleared up immediately. “Nobody wants to see another constitutional battle over Brexit, they just want both governments to work together to get the problems solved. The Tory leader added: “The UK government’s offer to provide additional support to help with issues at Food Standards Scotland is welcome and I hope the Scottish government will now accept that support.”
All the hypocrites wanting everybody to help each other, Ross and his pals from the northeast lied to fishermen up there constantly by promising what couldn't be delivered. Last time they talked about money they insisted that £375 allegedly coming to the Scottish government was new money while chancellor Rishi Sunak was back peddling and admitting it wasn't. As far as that lot go (apart from Finlay, who's my local MSP and works for industry locally) I wouldn't believe them that today is Sunday without checking the calendar
