jonleif unlucky name for the Standard Steam Fishing Co. of Grimsby.
GY 1179 Silanion GY 1284 Silanion and GY 246 Silanion all suffered the same fate.
Only the last one GY 541 Silanion avoided such a fate perhaps because originally named the Dinmar.

This is in fact GY 230 Sheraton sinking 1947 off North Norfolk coast.
She was at the time on charter to the RAF as a target towing vessel.
Looks like a bit of bad shooting.
Info from the Cook, Welton & Gemmell book where they have the same photograph.

SILANION (162058)(GY541) was originally DINAMAR (FD73), 1930 Cochrane built for Dinas Steam Trawling Co Ltd, Fleetwood. As WHITE FLOWER (H575) she was indeed sold to shipbreakers and arrived Liège on 5 Oct 1954 for breaking up.
